DATE 29/09/2007 AT PRESTIGE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT

Computer Society of India Gwalior Chapter organized a Computer Quiz for school in association with Prestige Institute of Management,Gwalior ,on 29 September 2007.

Deputy Transport Commissioner Mr.Upendra Jain,who was the Chief Guest, inaugurated the Quiz along with the Director of the Prestige Institute Mr.S.S.Bhakar and Mr.J.S.Bhide, Chairman CSI Gwalior Chapter and Secretary Mr.Sanjay Bhargava.

Total 16 Schools participated in the quiz. Schools from near by town like Shivpuri and Morena also took part in the quiz.The Chief Guest Mr.Upendra Jain appreciated the arrangements and encouraged the students.The Director of P.I.M.Mr.S.S.Bhakar.The draws for the quiz were taken out by the Chief Guest. The preliminary four rounds were decided and each round consists of 4 teams each, from which the winner will enter into final round where first tree teams will be selected.

Two students from the ITM student chapter were deputed to coordinate and assist in the quiz.The quiz were enjoyed by all the students and their accompanying teachers. The lunch was also provided to all the students and CSI members.

In the valedictory session Ex.Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University Dr.D.C.Tiwari gave the prizes to the winners. The final results were I winner was Scindia School Fort Gwalior.II winner was Rishi Galav Sr.Secondary School,Gwalior and III winner was Gwalior Glory School, Gwalior. All the other participant teams were given consolation prizes and certificates.

The CSI members who were kind enough to give their time and help in the quiz were Mr.Diwakar Pandey,Vice Chairman Mr.R.K.Vishwakarma,Treasurer Mr.B.M.Bhargava, Mr.J.Kushwah, Mr.Dilip Shitoley, Mr.Sanjay Pandey,Ms.Arpita Agrawal, Mr.Dilip Hayaran, Mr.Sudeep Garg, Mr.Vikas Shinde, Mr.Ravindra Gadkari, Mr.A.C.Pandey, Dr.D.C.Tiwari and some Institutional members were supported.

Those who supported in the quiz were some faculties of Prestige Institute of Management and Ms.Yashi Saxena from M.I.T.S. who was accompanied with Ms.Arpita Agrawal as Quiz Master and all of them helped and conducted the quiz very well.Finally Thanks were given by the CSI Gwalior Chapter Secretary Mr. Sanjay Bhargava.

The CSI Student Chapter, ITM, Gwalior organized a Placement Oriented Talk- “How to get Success in Campus Placements” on 22-09-07. The activity was organized with the aim to provide the guidelines to pre final year students for their campus placement of various companies. The resource persons for activity were those final year students, which are selected, in reputed multinational companies. The audience of the event was pre final year students of various branches of engineering. A presentation on “How to get Success in Campus Placements” was given by Ms. Ashta Sabarwal, MCA Final year student. The event was chaired by Dr. Y.M. Gupta, Principal ITM, Gwalior. At the end of the event Mr. Sanjay Jain, Student counselor, CSI student chapter, ITM, Gwalior, gave vote of thanks.

Prof. K.K. Aggrawal, President, Computer Society of India and VC IPU, New Delhi inaugurated the CSI student chapter, of ITM, Gwalior on 11-08-07. On the occasion, Mr. R.K. Vishwakarma, Vice president, of CSI chapter Gwalior was the guest of honor. An introduction to the mission and vision of ITM, Gwalior was given by Dr. R.D. Gupta, Advisor ITM Universe, Gwalior. After that, Mr. Vishwakarma threw the light on the activities of CSI Gwalior chapter. The objectives and activities of student chapter were given by the counselor of CSI student chapter. In the Inaugural Speech, Prof. Aggrawal encouraged the students to take up research in the challenging areas of computer science and also motivated them to be an active member of CSI. He congratulated ITM, Gwalior for starting the first student chapter in the region. The office bearers of student chapter were given oath by Prof. Aggrawal. At the end President, CSI Student chapter ITM, Gwalior presented the vote of thanks. In the post tea session two technical papers were presented by the students of ITM, Gwalior. The session was chaired by Prof. K.K. Aggrawal.

Computer Society of India Gwalior Chapter was delighted to receive National President of CSI in Gwalior on 11 August 2007. It was one of the memorable time to meet Proff. K.K.Aggrawal ,Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobindsingh Indraprasth University New Delhi and National President of CSI.

In the morning session Proff.K.K.Aggrawal visited I.T.M.College ,Gwalior where a student chapter of 150 student was inaugurated. Vice Chairman of CSI Gwalior Mr. R.K.Vishwakarma was present on this occasion along with all the execom members of the CSI Gwalior Chapter.In the noon session after lunch a meeting with CSI Gwalior Chapter execom was organized where he has declared that a National Execom will be planned in Gwalior also he praised all the members of Gwalior Chapter for the programmes the Chapter is doing. He was presented a memento by Mr.Nitin Manglik past chairman,CSI Gwalior.

The other members who witnessed were Er.R.K.Khetan past chairman, Mr.Sanjay Bhargava secretary CSI Gwalior,Mr. Dilip Shitoley, Mr.S.Bartariya, Mr.A.C.Pandey, Proff.R.N.Munshi, Mr.D.Pandey past chairman Mr.B.M.Bhargava Tresurer CSI,Mr.Deepak Pamamnani,Mr.Vikas Shindeetc. The meeting was followed by a press conference where Proff.K.K.Aggrawal addressed to the press people and gave information about the work and motto of CSI.In the evening Proff. K.K.Aggrawal addressed a meeting in N.R.I.T.M. Gwalior.CSI Gwalior Chapter vatern and execom member welcomed him. All the other members of CSI Gwalior Chapter were also present on this occasion. Proff. K.K.Aggrawal was honored with a lapel pin of CSI Gwalior Chapter. In the evening he left for New Delhi by Shatabdi Express.

It was a historical day for Computer Society of India Gwalior Chapter on 16 June 2007 when the founder chairman Dr.V.P.Saxena and founder secretary Proff.K.R.Pardasani of C.S.I.Gwalior Chapter were present in a seminar conducted at Nagaji Institute of Technology & Management, Jhansi Road ,Gwalior.The formar Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University and also a member of C.S.I.Gwalior Chapter was the Chief Guest. Chairman C.S.I.Gwalior Chapter briefed the activities of C.S.I. and invited students and staff to join C.S.I. Dr.V.P.Saxena explained about the Institute and told that in near future most of the staff and students will join the C.S.I.

The first issue of C.S.I.Gwalior Chapter was released by Dr.D.C.Tiwari and appreciated it. The first Lapel Pins were also released on the same occasion.Proff.K.R.Pardasani delivered a lecture and power point presentation on Bio-informatics.

Inspite of heavy rains and delay in programme, large number of C.S.I.Gwalior Chapter members were present. Among them are Secretary Sanjay Bhargava,R.K.Vishwakarma,Ravindra Gadkari,Sudeep Garg,Treasurer B.M.Bhargava,Mrs.Ashwinder Juneja along with Proff .G.S.Tomar,Shri R.C.Shrivastava and faculties and students.Proff. M.L.Gupta conducted the programme.

C.S.I.Gwalior Chapter

Chairman of CSI Gwalior Chapter Mr.J.S.Bhide along with Vice Chairman Mr.R.K.Vishwakarma and Div.Member Mr.Ravindra Gadkari visited Shri Rawatpura Sarkar College of Technical and Management at Datia about 70 Kms. From Gwalior on 11 May 2007.

Mr.J.S.Bhide chairman delivered a lecture on aspects and advantages of joining CSI to an audience of more than 100 students and staff.The students were impressed and decided to join CSI along with College faculties as life members .Mr. R.K.Vishwkarma given a power point presentation on CSI and explained about the activities and affiliation of CSI.

Punjab National Banks Senior Manager presentated the sponsored prizes to the winners of C++ competition. Mr.J.S.Bhide have given the Lapel Pins of CSI Gwalior Chapter to the life members.

The Program was appreciated by the college and have also asked to arrange such type of program in future.
